Free consultation call
Before booking a first session I offer a free 15-minute consultation call, by telephone or over Zoom. It is a chance to talk about what is bringing you to therapy and what you are hoping for, so you can decide whether to go ahead. It is separate from the first session and there is no obligation to book afterwards.
In person or online
Both individual and couples sessions are offered in person or online, at the same rate either way. In-person sessions take place at The Practice Rooms in Cotham or Clifton, Bristol; online sessions are held securely over Zoom. You can read more about what to expect from a session on the first session page.
Frequency and length of work
Sessions take place on a weekly basis, usually at the same time each week. That regular rhythm tends to support the work best. How long a course of therapy lasts is different for everyone: some people come for a short, focused piece of work, while others prefer longer-term, open-ended therapy. We'll agree what feels right for you together and review it as we go.
Cancellation policy
48 hours notice required, otherwise the full fee is payable. The reason for the notice period is simply that your slot is held for you each week, and it is rarely possible to offer it to anyone else at short notice.
Payment
I accept payment in cash or by bank transfer. I am also a recognised provider with AXA Health and Aviva, so if you hold an eligible policy with either you may be able to claim some or all of the cost of your sessions through your insurance. It is worth checking directly with your insurer before your first session.
If you have any questions about fees before getting in touch, I'm happy to talk them through.
